How To Join Us

We warmly welcome new members. It doesn’t matter whether or not you have any previous experience, but you do need to have plenty of enthusiasm.

Back-stage and production team

If you are interested in being part of the back-stage and production team, there are plenty of people who will be pleased to show you the ropes. Examples of back-stage work are:

  • Set-building, which includes making various items for the stage, painting the set and prop-making.
  • Costume-making: if you are good with a sewing machine, your skills will certainly come in handy.
  • Stage crew: which involves changing the set during the performances – another crucial back-stage role.

On stage

If you are interested in going on stage and have no previous experience, the chorus for our November show is always a good place to start. However, if you have trodden the boards before, you are welcome to come to any of our auditions to try for any role in one of our productions.

Rehearsals start two to three months prior to each production and take place on Monday and Thursday nights at Haslingfield Village Hall.

To find out more about what is involved, do come along to any of our auditions and chat to any of our members in the tea break. Details of auditions and script read-throughs are available in the Latest News section of our Home Page.

Membership

All adult members pay an annual membership subscription of £14 per year. This goes towards the funding of our productions, and enables you to purchase advance priority tickets and participate in our shows – either on-stage or as part of the Production Team.
