ABOUT HASLINGFIELD LITTLE THEATRE
In 1987, members of the Parent Teachers Association at Haslingfield Primary School put on Dick Whittington. This was followed by Peter Pan a year later, and then in 1989, the new Haslingfield Little Theatre produced its first production, A Midsummer Night's Dream.
During the last 28 years, we have put on two shows a year - usually a family show/pantomime in the winter, and a play in the spring (see Past Productions) and are well known for the high quality of our productions.
Members of Haslingfield Little Theatre span all generations, and include:
We also hold regular Friday night events which include poetry evenings, play readings, songs from the shows, and theatre visits. More information can be found by clicking here: Social Events
In 2000, we became a registered charity - with the objective to do our utmost to encourage and develop the performing arts in the area.
Since then, we have raised funds for the Village Centre extension, a permanent stage, lighting and sound equipment. The extended Village Centre with its excellent facilities is now used by us and the local community for jazz evenings, discos, art exhibitions and much more.
The purpose of the Haslingfield Little Theatre Youth Fund is to promote the involvement of young people from 8 to 18 years old in the performing arts. The fund is open for children from Haslingfield, Harlton and those connected via Haslingfield Young Little Theatre. For more information, please click here.
