SOCIAL EVENTS
We hold regular events, open to both members and non-members - including play readings, poetry evenings, songs from the shows and theatre visits.
Our next event will be a Poetry Evening:
| 23 March 2012 |
| 8.00 p.m. |
| Haslingfield Village Centre |
| Poems of all kinds – funny and sad, short and long, old and new – will be included in this informal evening. |
| Everyone is welcome. There will be a very small charge to cover the cost of hiring the hall. Please bring your own drinks. Also, if you have a particular favourite poem that you would like to read, or have read on your behalf, please contact Jenny at jenny@ndola.plus.com |
Social events in 2011 included:
| February | Trip to Matthew Bourne's Cinderella ballet at the Milton Keynes Theatre |
| March | As part of the Haslingfield Village Society's Village History Weekend - we displayed the HLT Archives - which included photos of shows and other material going back over 21 years. |
| April | An Improvised Musical was performed by several youth members of the drama group to raise money towards the annual CVC exchange visit to Edendale School, near Pretoria, South Africa. |
| October | We collaborated with Arts in Cambridge on Tour to bring professional theatre to Haslingfield - Bad Apple Theatre Company's wonderful musical play: Back to the Land Girls. |

| August | Open-Air Theatre Visit at Emmanuel College to see A Midsummer Night's Dream |
| October | Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds' Rural Tour performed Michael Frayn's The Two of Us by Michael Frayn, following our sucessful application to sponsors, Arts in Cambs on Tour |
