OUT OF ORDER
This hilarious farce, written by Ray Cooney, was put on in May 2008. The plot concerned a Government MP attempting to have an affair with one of the secretaries of the Leader of the Opposition in a top London hotel.
However, with a conniving waiter, a suspicious hotel manager, an alert private detective, an angry wife, a furious husband, a bungling secretary, an unconscious nurse and a dead body, nothing went as planned!
The play necessitated split-second timing of effects, such as banging windows with casts' heads underneath, people entering and exiting without seeing each other, a cupboard door opening to reveal the 'body' and much more. Although tricky to perform, this wonderful play had both cast and crew in hysterics from first rehearsal through to show dates.
The play also had great reviews from our audience, and the critic from NODA ( The National Operatic and Dramatic Association) said that our 'body' had surpassed the professional 'body' on London 's West End.
